 Review:        'जॉन-डे' एक थ्रिलर मूवी है जो एक 18 साल की लड़की की रहस्यमय परिस्थितियों हुई मौत के कारणों का पता लगाने की जद्दोजहद दर्शाती है।फिल्म में लड़की के पिता जॉन-डे ( नसीरुद्दीन शाह) एक सरल, ईमानदार व्यक्ति हैं जो पेशे से बैंक मैनेजर हैं।वह अपनी बेटी की मौत के रहस्य का पता लगाने की कोशिश करते हैं, मगर यह इतना आसान नहीं होता। इस दौरान वह कई षड्यंत्रों के शिकार होते हैं। बेटी का हत्यारा एक पुलिस ऑफिसर गौतम (रणदीप हुड्डा) है जो उनकी राहों को बेहद मुश्किल बनाता जाता है ताकि सच सामने न आ पाए। सच-झूठ के इसी खेल में कई सस्पेंस भरे रोमांचक पलों से आपका वास्ता होता है और आप सीट से चिपके रहने को मजबूर हो जाते हैं।

पहले नसीर इस फिल्म को करने को लेकर तैयार नहीं थे, मगर प्रोड्यूसर्स के आसिफ, अंजुम रिज़वी और आतिफ ए खान ने तय कर रखा था कि वे अपनी पहली फिल्म में नसीर को ही लेंगे। राइटर-डायरेक्टर अहिशोर सोलोमन ने स्क्रिप्ट देखने के बाद नसीर पर ही पक्की मोहर लगा दी। 'ए वेडनेस्डे' में व्यवस्था बदलने के लिए तैयार एक व्यक्ति का किरदार निभा चुके नसीरुद्दीन शाह ने इस फिल्म में भी एक आम आदमी की बेबसी को ही जाहिर किया है। कहने की जरूरत नहीं कि उनकी एक्टिंग शानदार है। फिल्म का पूरा भार उनके कंधे पर है। हालांकि, फिल्म में रणदीप हुड्डा, शरत सक्सेना, मकरंद देशपांडे, भरत दाबोलकर, अनंत महादेवन जैसे दिग्गज़ कलाकार भी हैं, लेकिन इस फिल्म के असली हीरो तो नसीर साहब ही हैं। डायरेक्टर अहिशोर सोलोमन की यह पहली फिल्म है। उनकी फिल्म की यूएसपी अनोखी अनयुजुअल और इंट्रेस्टिंग कास्टिंग है। इस फिल्म में कुछ ऐसे एलिमेंट्स हैं, जिन्हें अब तक फिल्मों में दिखाया नहीं गया। और दिखाया भी गया है तो उसे एक्सप्लोर नहीं किया गया। फिल्म 'जॉन डे' के जरिए उन एलिमेंट्स को देखना दर्शकों के लिए काफी दिलचस्प होगा।
