UPCOMING CARS(Hyundai Grand i10)

Hyundai Grand i10: Hyundai will bring in an all-new car to the Indian market – the new Grand i10. This new car is a replacement for the current-generation in most markets, but in India it will continue to be sold alongside the existing i10, slotting in between it and the i10. To justify the ‘grand’ epithet, Hyundai’s engineers have stretched the wheelbase by approximately 100 mm compared to the European-spec version of the new i10, to liberate more interior room. Presently the company holds a considerable market share in small car hatchback segment with its models like Santro, Eon, i10 and i20. This segment is extremely competitive and draws a large number of buyers towards it due to the low priced cars. Several car makers like Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, Chevrolet, Tata Motors, Volkswagen, amid others, have launched their vehicles in this low level segment in order to gain a fair chunk of the market share. In the recent times, Hyundai India has kept pace with the dynamic market to remain as one of the strongest competitors in small car segment. With its models like Santro and i10, the company has enjoyed a huge success in the Indian car market.

Interior,Exterior&Safety             The design of upcoming car is largely based on the newly developed fluidic design, which is an elegant composition of edgy creases and dynamic finishing. This design was first introduced in the mid range Hyundai Verna model. In addition, new Sonata and Elantra are also based on the same sculpture design as witnessed on Verna. Coming back to design of Grand i10, the car is offered with a complete new look and there are less similarities on comparing it with the new generation i10. The car is extremely spacious on the inside as compared to i10. With its bulky design, the car boasts of a more legroom and headroom space. Comfortable seats and a perfect driving position are main USP of the car. The gear lever is ergonomically placed on the dashboard of the vehicles much like the next generation i10 model.

Apart from the good overall dimensions, the car will be equipped with premium features. Advancements like push start/stop button, automatic air conditioning, steering-mounted audio controls and Bluetooth connectivity will be offered in Grand i10. What stands out in the interiors is to see the rear air conditioning vents. Considering the fact that i10 will be provided with added features and will sport fresh new changes to body line and interiors, this car can easily establish itself in the small car segment.  However, it will be interesting to see how i10 performs after the launch of Grand i10, which will be bigger and more comfortable than the former.
